The opportunity
 
We're seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join us on a permanent full-time basis as we embark on a significant transformation project for one of our clients. Due to the recent acquisition of an additional autonomous miner we have opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters (ideally with experience working underground) to join our growing team. In this role as Mechanical Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring safety and production targets are met while upholding quality standards by maintaining the operation of mining equipment. This opportunity is based in Blackwater, QLD, and offers both FIFO (from Brisbane) and DIDO with local living allowance options, with a 7/7 even time roster and 12-hour shifts on a permanent basis.

Details of the role

• Permanent long-term employment
• 7/7 even time roster - rotating day-night
• 12-hour workdays
• FIFO from Brisbane
• DIDO for those residing near the Blackwater site
• Camp & meals provided 
• Ongoing training & development with real career progression 

• Above average base salaries along with market allowance benefits
• Maintenance of mining equipment

Qualifications and Requirement

• Prior mining experience ideally underground
• Underground coal experience (cut & flit - advantageous)
• Underground Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain/refresh
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain/refresh
• Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
• Appropriate trade certificate
• Valid Driver's License
• Full Australian working rights
