The opportunity:
We are looking for a Mechanical Execution Specialist to help develop and optimize maintenance for a large improvement projects. This project is based in North America FIFO-ing from the ANZ region on a 6/3 roster (6 weeks on, 3 weeks off) and will run for a period of 9 month with the possibility of extension. Rotations can have more flexibility if you do not need to return to Australia throughout the project. Flights, accommodation, and meals will be provided. The successful candidate will have a hands-on and can-do approach as well as proven on-site maintenance experience in a mining environment.
What the role entails
- Frontline supervision of workforce ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner;
- Sourcing and attaining required parts and resources;
- Instruct and supervise the workforce to ensure compliance with legislation and procedures;
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment faults;
- Disassembly and assembly of machinery and components.
- Routine servicing of all equipment both site workshop and field-based;
- Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings;
- Participate in Hazard Identification, risk assessment, and Work Method Statement Reviews.
What you will need:
- Current passport with 12 months plus remaining and a clean criminal record for work visa purposes
- Relevant trade qualifications
- A solid understanding of plant maintenance practices
- Demonstrated experience in mining, mineral processing, or manufacturing businesses
- Proven ability to successfully develop working relationships across all levels
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with a strong technical ability to dissect problems.
- Strong maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination skills
